4 Top Tips For Skinny Guys To Build Muscle

Do you feel like you are too skinny? Do you have less confidence than you would like because of this?

These 4 tips will get you on your way to having the muscular body that you’ve always dreamed of, as well as boosting your confidence dramatically.

Eat A Lot More

The truth is that in order for us skinny guys (hardgainers) to build up some decent muscle the first thing that we need to do is EAT A LOT MORE!

Many skinny guys majorly under estimate the amount of food that they need to be eating to build muscle, So I would definitely say that you should start writing down everything that you eat so that you can see what kind of changes you need to make to your calorie intake.

Eat More Often

Eating three big meals a day is no good if you want to gain muscle, you should be eating every 2-3 hours throughout the day in order to keep your body full of the much needed nutrients that you will need to leave your skinny body behind and say hello to a new, more muscular you.

Don’t waste money on supplements

A lot of people think that taking a load of supplements along with working out in the gym will see massive muscle gains with minimum effort. But the truth of the matter is, your much better off saving your money.

Because it is important to know that most of the body building magazines that have pages and pages full of supplement ads are actually owned by the supplement company’s! So of course they will tell you that the supplements are amazing and you just have to have them. When the fact of the matter is, most of them do not work! (believe me, I’ve tried them).

Get Some Rest

This is probably the most simple of all the tips but a lot of people seem to over look it. Because your muscles grow while resting and not while your in the gym working out it is extremely important to get enough rest.

You can be working out like crazy in the gym, but if you don’t let your muscles rest and grow then there is no way that you will get decent muscle gains.

If you follow these simple tips then you will be able to say goodbye to your thin body forever just like I did.

But there is one more thing that could mean the difference between getting that all important muscular body that you want fast or struggling to build muscle for weeks, even months (like I did when I first started), and that is making sure that you have the best diet plans, workouts and advice along the way. For that reason I would definitely recommend that you get the No-Nonsense Muscle Building Program, I mean even just the bonuses that you get with the program have made a huge difference in my muscle building. Plus you will end up saving a lot of money in the long run as you won’t have to buy any way near as many supplements as you probably do now!

  1. Head Coach says:

When I first started training I was 5’10″ and weighed 115lbs. Now I’m about 180lbs lean at the same height. The programs that worked the best were the Bill Starr 5×5 and other variations of it. But if you know how to write a progression style training program you can do the same thing with escalating density training (EDT). Many of the athletes I train are tall skinny basketball players where are underweight. The average muscle gain in 6 months, even if they are practicing daily, is about 20lbs. After a year they net about 30lbs of muscle and some actually decrease fat. So while food is important, I’d offer that a tried and true program even more important.

  2. I agree with head coach on this one; the proper application of the right workout program is the biggest factor. I think a lot of people get caught up in the difference between weight and muscle. If you are skinny and you want to gain weight; just eat more. The problem is, the weight you gain will likely be fat (this happened to me).

The driver of lean muscle gain, which is what will improve the look and shape of your body, is your workout.

  3. I totally agree with that, I’m also a skinny one and I think with these tips I will probably gain weight. On the last part, that is the most important every muscle builder must have a rest at least 7-8 hours of sleep to give growth to their muscles.
