How long does it take to build muscle - The story of how i was a skinny weakling trying to gain muscle for months with hardly any results, but then i found out why and started to gain muscle mass quickly.

This is the story of how I finally started to build muscle quickly after months of trying with very little to show for it.

Click here to see the program that finally allowed me to start building muscle

How long does it take to build muscle?

Well in my case, a hell of a lot longer than it should have. I was always your average skinny guy, didn’t feel very confident, lacking in self-esteem and just felt kind of inadequate. I’m sure you know the feeling. I’d had enough of feeling like that so I decided to try and build muscle so I could just feel better about myself.

Doing Everything The Wrong Way

When I first started to work out I didn’t really have a clue, I was just doing everything wrong. So then I decided to get some advice from a few of my friends (you know the kind of guys who just seemed to build muscle from just looking at a dumb bell) and they told me stuff like, ‘hey, you’ve gotta workout 5 times a week why don’t you try out my workout regime, it works for me!’ and ‘hey, you should try all these different muscle gain supplements to help gain weight’. After a few months had gone by and I’d hardly had any muscle gain at all and spent more than id like to remember on bodybuilding supplements, I was thinking ‘how long does it take to build muscle, 1 year? 2 years?’ it just wasn’t adding up at all.

I was convinced that there must have been a reason why everybody around me was building muscle faster than you could say ‘ripped’ and I was still looking the same as I always did and feeling even worse because of all the effort I was putting in to try and build muscle with next to no results. People told me its just how I am and to leave the bodybuilding to the other guys, I started to think that way as well and was pretty much ready to give it all up. But for some reason I was still convinced that it was possible for a skinny guy to gain some decent muscle and be able to feel good about themselves.

Finding A Solution

So I started doing some research and found that the biggest problem for us hardgainers is that the information and products out there are all pretty much geared towards the ‘average’ body type and the skinny guys just get sort of cast aside as weak and inferior. That is until I just happened to stumble upon a website by this guy called Vince Delmonte and as soon as I started to read the stuff on his website I was like YES! This is what I’ve been looking for all this time, somebody who was in exactly the same position as me and to look at him now you just wouldn’t believe it. Click here to see the product I am talking about.

I decided to start on Vince’s program and even after the first week I just felt like I was starting to put on muscle like never before. So if you’re that same skinny guy with no self esteem who wants to start to build muscle like I did, I would highly recommend Vince Delmonte’s no-nonsense bodybuilding program. Just take a look at my pictures to see what a transformation I have made and I am still gaining more muscle every week.

One thing I will say about no nonsense muscle building though, is that there is A LOT of information and trying to learn it all in one go can be a little overwhelming. So if you are not committed to really working hard and learning how to change your body then it might not be for you. But if you just take it one step at a time and try not to rush through it all then you should be ok.

So How Long Does It Take To Build Muscle?

The answer to this question completely depends on how you go about it. Because doing it the right way could take a matter of weeks, but do it the wrong way and it could take months or maybe even not at all. The key is to find the right program for your body shape and size.

Contrary to popular belief the fastest way to build muscle is not to spend all your time in the gym training day in day out. Unless you are genetically gifted, trying to gain muscle in this way is not only going to waste your time but you will not see the best results and therefore not build muscle quickly.

If you want to find the fastest way to build muscle then you must first understand that resting your muscles after you’ve been working them hard in the gym is extremely important. This resting time gives your muscles a chance to rebuild themselves bigger and stronger than before. But there is a fine line between not resting enough and resting too much!

In order to make sure that you are spending enough time in the gym as well as leaving your body enough time to rest and rebuild the muscle fibres you really need to be following a proven muscle building program.

The other vital component that you need to get right in order to build muscle in the shortest time possible is diet. Without the rights foods (and enough of them) in your diet you will not see the muscle gains that your after. You need to make sure that you fuel your body with everything that it needs in order to build muscle. As well as the right foods you need to be eating at the right time(s) of day too. For the best results you need to be eating regular meals and snacks throughout the day, somewhere between 6-7 times per day is usually good.

When you follow a muscle building program, just as you will learn when and how often you should be working out in the gym, you will also be able to follow a tried and tested muscle building meal plan that will ensure that you build muscle in the fastest time possible.

Of course, you don’t have to follow a muscle building program in order to see great muscle games but it totally takes away any guess work and it really is the fastest way to build muscle.

If you are ready to start building muscle fast then I suggest that you follow the same muscle building program I did, I got great results from it and so have thousands of others! Click Here to see which muscle building program I used to gain 29 pounds of muscle within just a few months.

Everybody wants to be able to start building muscle fast but unfortunately most people are not able to achieve this because they do not do any research before hand to see what is going to work for their body type. Finding out your body type is vital if you are ever going to start gaining muscle mass.

If you are tall and skinny then chances are you are an ectomorph aka hardgainer, like me. In order for hardgianers to achieve impressive muscle gains they have to go about things in a completely different way to most other people, the reason for this is that our bodies are designed for endurance rather than strength, this is down to the different muscle fibres – slow-twitch and fast-twitch.

Slow-twitch fibres are the ones made for endurance and have less potential for growth and the fast-twitch fibres are used in dynamic movements and have much more potential for growth. In order to get your fast-twitch muscle fibres working hard you need to do certain types of exercises, these are called compound moves.

Compound moves require you to move several joints at once, and as a result you have to work many different muscle groups at the same time. Some examples of these compound moves are squat, deadlift, woodchop, you get the idea. So your workouts need to be focused around these multi muscle moves.

Another thing that is vitally important if you are a hardgainer who wants to start building muscle fast is making sure you are eating the correct foods and more importantly the right amount of these muscle building foods. The first thing you need to do when it comes to your muscle building diet is to forget about the 3 square meals a day because you will need to up that to about 6 or 7 smaller meals throughout the day.

You will probably want to have some protein shakes for some of these meals because it would be very hard to try and get all of your protein needs directly from foods. The final important thing to remember in order for hardgainers to build muscle is to make sure you do not over train. Now this can be a little tricky because it can be tempting to go to the gm day after day when you are so desperate to gain muscle mass but you will be completely wasting your time if you do this. You should only be lifting weights 3 days per week and with a rest day in between each session, now this may not sound like a lot but as or bodies are built for endurance rather than strength and we are sort of fighting against are genes it is important to give our muscles plenty of time to rest and recover.

So now you know these tips for building muscle fast you will be able to transform your body like never before and blast beyond your genetic potential, but if you want to guarantee your success then choosing a muscle building program that is right for you is a great way of taking out all the guess work when it comes to things like which foods to eat, certain strategies you can use and also having all the help you need.

Do you feel like you are too skinny? Do you have less confidence than you would like because of this?

These 4 tips will get you on your way to having the muscular body that you’ve always dreamed of, as well as boosting your confidence dramatically.

Eat A Lot More

The truth is that in order for us skinny guys (hardgainers) to build up some decent muscle the first thing that we need to do is EAT A LOT MORE!

Many skinny guys majorly under estimate the amount of food that they need to be eating to build muscle, So I would definitely say that you should start writing down everything that you eat so that you can see what kind of changes you need to make to your calorie intake.

Eat More Often

Eating three big meals a day is no good if you want to gain muscle, you should be eating every 2-3 hours throughout the day in order to keep your body full of the much needed nutrients that you will need to leave your skinny body behind and say hello to a new, more muscular you.

Don’t waste money on supplements

A lot of people think that taking a load of supplements along with working out in the gym will see massive muscle gains with minimum effort. But the truth of the matter is, your much better off saving your money.

Because it is important to know that most of the body building magazines that have pages and pages full of supplement ads are actually owned by the supplement company’s! So of course they will tell you that the supplements are amazing and you just have to have them. When the fact of the matter is, most of them do not work! (believe me, I’ve tried them).

Get Some Rest

This is probably the most simple of all the tips but a lot of people seem to over look it. Because your muscles grow while resting and not while your in the gym working out it is extremely important to get enough rest.

You can be working out like crazy in the gym, but if you don’t let your muscles rest and grow then there is no way that you will get decent muscle gains.

If you follow these simple tips then you will be able to say goodbye to your thin body forever just like I did.

But there is one more thing that could mean the difference between getting that all important muscular body that you want fast or struggling to build muscle for weeks, even months (like I did when I first started), and that is making sure that you have the best diet plans, workouts and advice along the way. For that reason I would definitely recommend that you get the No-Nonsense Muscle Building Program, I mean even just the bonuses that you get with the program have made a huge difference in my muscle building. Plus you will end up saving a lot of money in the long run as you won’t have to buy any way near as many supplements as you probably do now!

I’m sure youve heard lots of people saying that form is important when lifting weights and there is a very good reason for this….It’s because it is extremely important and if you want to build muscle properly then you need to make sure that your form is always good.

Some people are obsessed with numbers and just want to brag to all their friends about how much they can bench press but unless your doing the exercise properly your not going to feel the full muscle building effects. So using a lighter weight can actually be more beneficial to your muscle building if you are lifting properly.

Every time you do an exercise you should be focusing on the muscle(s) that you are working. This can sometimes be difficult for people especially when it comes to the lats but with a little practice it becomes much easier.

Even something as simple as a dumbbell curl is often done with bad form. I regularly see guys in the gym with terrible form doing curls… they swing the weights, lean backwards and all sorts of various things just to be able to get some more reps out but this is not only a waste of time and energy but you could end up injuring yourself and then you could be out of action for a while and your muscle building will have to grind to a halt.

If you are one of these people who thinks bigger numbers is the answer to bigger muscles and forget about your form then you need to change your ways. Every exercise you do should be slow and controlled and you should be thinking about the muscle you are working throughout the exercises.

Now don’t get me wrong, you need to lift heavy weights if you want to gain muscle mass but you should NOT go for heavier weights at the expense of form! You want to be using the biggest weight possible but sill be able to control the movement properly and have a full range of motion.

Just changing this small thing in your daily workouts could have a dramatic effect on your muscle building results not to mention keeping your body from any unnecessary injuries.

It is not a surprise that most people get motivated to have their muscles build up quickly as result of the many diseases which are said to be associated with obesity. This is not the only reason however others argue that they have a desire to have a firm and a perfect looking body in order to win attention from the opposite sex. Whatever the reason may be, it is very important to have a fit body and this can only be achieved by building your muscles. If you don’t know how to accomplish this, the good news is that you are on the right track. Below are tips on how to gain muscle fast.

The safest and perhaps the best way to achieve a muscular body is by exercise. The best place to start would be the gym. Here you can train on various techniques to build muscle with the help of a fitness professional.

Taking muscle supplements has also been proved to be very effective in building muscles quickly. It is however recommended you be cautious when taking these supplements. They need to be used mostly by people taking regular visits to the gym. Most of these supplements usually contain proteins with amino acids that help in building blocks of muscles.

If you want to know how to build muscles, then you have to be conversant with diet. This is very important and should not be underestimated. It involves knowing the correct amount of calories to consume each day. Skinny people should consume many calories to build their muscles while obese ones should consume less in order to get rid of the fats.

Decreasing stress is also very important. You never know, maybe it is the reason you are not able to gain muscle quickly. It has been proved from research that stress causes the body to release a product known as cortisol which has the effect of eating up the muscle and the tissues.

You might be asking yourself a question like how long does it take to build muscle? Well, depending on your hard work, you can achieve it in less than two months. Perseverance and patience is also some attributes you should possess throughout. You have to follow your daily schedule until you reach the desired results.

Knowing how to gain muscles fast can be very rewarding to you. The tips are not that hard nor are they super easy to implement. You must dedicate yourself and in a matter of months you will have your body not only strong but also in perfect shape.

Just because you don’t have a gym membership or any fancy new gym set ups at home doesn’t mean you can’t have a great workout that is going to build muscle mass. Even if you don’t even have a set of dumb bells there are some fantastic body weight exercises that you can do anywhere, anytime!

The thing a really like about body weight exercises is that they are natural and your body moves in it’s own way, as opposed to using machines where your body is forced to move in line with the machine which quite often is not a natural movement.

Here’s some of my favourite body weight exercises that you can use to start building muscle if you have no equipment, and even if you do have equipment or access to a gym these moves will still be a great thing to add to your workouts.

Push Ups

I love push ups, there are so many different variations you can do so they can never be boring. In terms of building the pecs I would prefer to do push ups than a bench press every time! Personally I think the bench press is one of the most over rated muscle building exercises around.

Here are a few of the different push up variations you should try:

Pike Press

Clap

Side-to-side

Decline

Diamond

Military

Dive-bomber

Dips

All you need for dips is a chair and your good to go. Try and go as low as you can for a better range of motion and when you start to find the standard dip a little too easy you can make it more difficult by lifting one leg off the ground and then switching legs every 5 reps, or alternatively you could rest your feet on another chair while performing the dips. There is always some kind of way to make these body weight exercises more difficult and that is what you need when you are trying to build muscle mass.

Squats

You don’t necessarily need to use barbells in order to perform some muscle building squat exercises. Just like the other body weight exercises I have mentioned there are a ton of different variations when it comes to the squat such as:

Pistol Squat

Single Leg Dead-lift (This is not technically a dead-lift, just a variation on a single leg squat)

Wall Squat

Single Leg Wall Squats

So try some of these great body weight exercises today and start building some more muscle mass. But as with any exercises you do it is extremely important to maintain a good form, not only will you get much better results this way but you will also help to prevent any injuries.

Once you have decided that you want to start working out and building muscle you will need to decide on where your going to do this. Some people aren’t too keen on going to a proper gym for a variety of reasons so working out at home would be the next best thing, these days you can get some really good home gym equipment that doesn’t break the bank. Just be sure to shop around so that you can make certain that you get all the equipment your going to need for your muscle building but at the same time not getting ripped off.

If however, the home gym scenario isn’t for you then you are going to have to look into joining a gym in your area, but there are a few things you need to research before joining. If you end up joining a gym that you don’t feel comfortable going to on a regular basis then the chances are that you will eventually give up on your fitness goals and that’s not good at all.

So before you sign up at a gym take these factors into consideration:

Location

It’s no good joining a gym that takes longer to get to than you spend training, especially if your going after work you really don’t want to have to waste your precious time sitting in traffic. The best thing to do is try and find somewhere either near your home or on your drive to/from your place of work.

Opening Hours

What time of day are you going to be heading to the gym? if your an early riser who likes to get their workout done first thing in the morning then you need to make sure your gym will be open. Similarly, if you prefer to have your workouts later on in the day you must make sure your gym will be suitable for this.

The Cost Of Membership

The cost of gym memberships can vary quite drastically so it really does pay to shop around and find the best price you can in your area. Also, before you sign up to anything make sure that you find out how long exactly the contract is for, you don’t want to be tied into a long term arrangement when something short term would be much more suitable.

Equipment Available

Some people prefer using mainly free weights, others prefer to use machines, whichever type of equipment you prefer to use make sure that there is enough equipment available for your needs. Also be sure to check the quality of the gym equipment, if your going to be forking out on the membership each month you need to know that the equipment your going to be using is of good quality and also that there is enough equipment and machines to go around, the last thing you want is to be waiting around for ages as there is too many people and not enough equipment.

So, if you are looking at joining a gym please make sure that you take these factors into account before signing up because finding a good gym that suites your needs is very important if you are serious about getting fit and building muscle.

Six pack abs are something that lots of guys would love to have but very few are actually able to achieve them. Now it isn’t the easiest thing in the world to be able to get a six pack but it’s also not the hardest! As long as you follow a few simple rules you should be able to get those all important six pack abs and be the envy of your friends.

Here’s what you need to get results:

Diet

Having a clean and healthy diet is extremely important if you want to see your abs because you could do all the crunches and sit ups in the world but if your abdominal muscles are covered in a layer of fat then you are never going to be able to see them.

You need to have a well balanced diet with plenty of protein supplemented with healthy fats for satiety and fruits and vegetables for energy.

A Variety Of Exercises

When it comes to six pack abs exercises it is important to keep mixing things up so you aren’t always doing the same routine week in week out.

This is where a lot of people go wrong because they find a routine that they enjoy and tend to stick with it but the reason you won’t see results if you do it this way is because your abdominal muscle adapt to change pretty quickly so you need to keep things changing regularly in order to see consistent results.

Cardio

Whether you like it or not you are going to have to get your cardio in check if you are ever going to achieve six pack abs, but this does not mean jogging along on a treadmill a few times a week.

To get the full benefits of your cardio workouts you really need to give them a bit more intensity, now this is going to be a lot tougher than plodding along on a treadmill but if you want to see results then you HAVE to be willing to put the effort in.

You can do things like sprinting, hill running or even skipping and to really make the most out of these workouts you should try going hard with lots of intensity for around 30 seconds then easing off for a minute or so and just repeating this process around 10 times. This will really kick your butt and you will see the results your after much quicker!

So there you have it, six pack abs are as easy as 1 2 3!! As long as you are committed and follow these 3 simple steps then you should be able to achieve those all important ripped abs in no time!!
