Turkey Burgers

This turkey burger recipe makes an ideal alternative to your regular burger and is a lot better for you. Making your own burgers is so easy to do, they taste great and you know exactly whats going in them.

Makes 4 Burgers

Ingredients:

500g (1pound) Lean Ground Turkey Breast

1 Garlic Clove, finely chopped or grated

1/2 Onion, finely chopped

1/2 Courgette (zucchini) , grated

1 Egg

Small Handful of Breadcrumbs

Small Handful of Parsley, chopped

Pinch of Salt and Pepper

4 Wholemeal Burger Buns, lightly toasted

Lettuce and Tomato to serve

Mix all of the ingredients apart from the buns, lettuce and tomato in a large bowl. Get your hands in there and make sure all of the ingredients are mixed together well, then shape them into 4 burgers.

Cook under a medium grill for 10-15 minutes or until cooked through, turning once during cooking.

Once the burgers are cooked, place them into the buns with a couple of tomato slices and lettuce.  Easy as that!
